Read This First: Frequently Asked Questions

When are you open?

Nina's Place is open on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

What do I need to do in order to receive food?

If you've never been to Nina's Place, you need to register. This can only be done on site from 9:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturdays. If you have never registered with a FSF Partner Agency, please bring a photo ID (if you have one) to help with registration. If you have a FSF client # or ID card, please bring it with you. Registration means you can visit any Partner Agency in the FSF system (Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach Counties).

Where are you located?

Nina's Place is located on the campus of Zion — Ministries Under the Cross in Deerfield Beach. Our address is 959 SE 6th Avenue, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441.

The entrance to Nina's Place is located on the northeast end of the campus, on the north side of Katie Luther Chapel. Friends coming to shop at Nina's Place should park in the larger lot off of SE 6th Avenue.

Who is eligible to receive food?

Our client-choice market shopping on Saturdays is reserved for residents of the following Zip Codes: 33441, 33442, 33064, 33060, 33062, and 33069.

How can I volunteer?

Adults interested in volunteering can visit our sign-up page here. Students interested in volunteering can visit their own sign-up page here. Thank you for being willing to share your time with this community!

I participate in the distributions at DBMS/DBHS. Why do I need to register again?

Some of the grants that the three partner organizations receive are independent of the Healthy Students, Healthy Communities initiative. We need to be able to report data solely for Nina's Place from time to time.

Important Update

As everyone knows, food availability has become a challenge. We continue to focus on our primary neighborhoods of Deerfield Beach, Pompano Beach, and Coconut Creek.

In reviewing our demographics, we realize that there are very few neighbors coming from western Coconut Creek. To protect the integrity of our food supplies, we are making the decision to focus new registrations on these Zip Codes ONLY: 33441, 33442, 33064, 33060, 33062, and 33069. We will also continue to provide services for those who are unhoused.
